How it Started
The Maidens lacrosse team has a storied history that began in 1999, when a group of girls from Cypress, Texas, came together with the goal of forming their own lacrosse team. In 2001, the team officially became a varsity program, competing against other schools in the area.
Just two years later, in 2003, the Maidens achieved a major milestone by winning their first state championship. This victory marked the beginning of a successful period for the team, which has since gone on to win multiple championships and establish themselves as a dominant force in girls lacrosse in Texas.
The Maidens’ success can be attributed to the dedication and hard work of the players, coaches, and supporters who have helped build the program over the years. Through their passion for the sport and commitment to excellence, the Maidens have become a symbol of pride for Cypress area and a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork and perseverance.
As the Maidens continue to strive for greatness on the lacrosse field, their legacy as pioneers of girls lacrosse in the area will always be remembered. From humble beginnings to championship glory, the Maidens have proven that with determination and unity, anything is possible.
